Vet Tech Students Excel on National Exam

Veterinary technicians in Ohio are required to pass the Veterinary Technician National Examination in order to obtain their license. This past summer, the national exam pass rate was 66.3 percent. However, the RWC Vet Tech Program graduating class of 2010 passed the exam at the rate of 93.75 percent. “We are very proud of our students,” said RWC Veterinary Technology Professor Jane C. Goecke, DVM. “Hard work, dedication, and a positive attitude, both on the part of students and staff, made this happen. We start from day one to encourage the students to think positively: ‘I will pass the boards!’ It seems to have worked!
