It is that time of year to appreciate every culture from around the world with Worldfest, an annual springtime event at UC and RWC. The College would like to get more students involved with the event. Helen Kegler, RWC Director of Multi-Culture Affairs, has noted that, “Global Education is the theme for Worldfest 2011. Worldfest is an annual Just Community event, with an emphasis on a celebration of diversity and social justice.”
RWC’s 2011 Worldfest celebration will be held April 22-29. There will be a weeklong schedule of events, including digital images of the RWC family, a Welcome Reception, a Peace Conference, a Green Walk, a Focus on the Philippines, a Diversity Fair with booths and entertainers, a Read-in featuring authors of diverse cultures, and a Grand Finale.
These events are sponsored by students, student groups, faculty, and staff.
