RWC Hosts EMS National Exam

On February 4, RWC hosted the annual National Registry Practical Skills examination for the Emergency Medical Services Program. At the event, nearly 30 students from around the U.S., 12 of which were from RWC, took part in the examination to certify the students as official paramedics. Nearly all of the students passed, including all 12 of the RWC students, and according to RWC representatives, the event went very well.

The Associate Director from the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians, Rob Wagoner, attended the event to oversee the examination process. Prospective students from Vermont, Connecticut, Mississippi, Michigan, and Minnesota also attended the event, with most students acquiring their certificates.

Professor Janice Evans, Director of the EMS Technology Program at RWC, said that most of the RWC students are already lined up for careers in the field and that the examination went very well. She added that she is very proud of all the students.
