RWC has more students who will be studying abroad this summer than ever before. A record total of 36 students will be studying in either Costa Rica, Great Britain, or Quebec during the summer of 2011. Thirty-three members of the group are shown above as they gathered for an orientation session on April 23. (Kneeling, left to right) Jesse Crook, Daniel Chapman, Stephanie Nagel, Erika Wilcheck, Jamie Tsiominas, Brittany Ellis. (Standing, left to right) Professor Angie Woods, Anna White, Professor Mike Roos, Hannah Kutcher, Joey Stalf, Karly Mason, Cheshire Hardcastle, Professor Mark Otten, Stephanie Pandorf, Becca Schuler, Mathea Harbaugh, Katie Hungler, David Sykes, Kimberly Krekeler, Dustin Bramkamp, Nina Adams, Sarah Jones, Brendan Wood, Christine Jagger, Melissa Schmerr, Susan Landenwitsch, Lee Coleman, Madelyn Luptowski, Jessica Doench, Daniel Betz, Katie Tobin, Dennis Halpin, Rikenkumar Patel, and Professor Jody Ballah. On the projection screen are Kimberlyn Angelo and Katia Sittman, who joined the group via Skype from the University of Kansas. The record number was at least partially the result of the generosity of RWC Dean Cady Short-Thompson, who provided $15,000 in scholarship money to support RWC students who applied for the programs.
