A team of RWC eMedia students won two awards at the recent 6th Annual Regional College Movie Festival. Team Fun-Kaar, which translates to “artist” in Hindi and Urdu, competed for their second year against 21 other teams from other schools. They entered a short narrative film entitled “Dark of Day,” which deals with themes of sadness and alienation.
The team clenched an award from two of the possible four categories. The judges selected Team Fun-Kaar for the Excellence in Pre-Production award. The film was also the runner-up for the Audience Choice Award.
The second team from RWC, 13 Hearts, competed for the first time with the entry of their short film “The Retirement.” The judges were industry professionals who had several good things to say about both teams.
