Bargaining is defined by Webster as “an agreement between two or more parties as to what each party will do for the other”; also, as a verb, to “negotiate the terms and conditions of a transaction.” Ohio Senate Bill Five (AKA SB5), which has been passed by the Ohio Legislature and signed by Governor John Kasich, takes away the right for teachers and other public employees in the State of Ohio to collectively bargain. This would result in unfair environments for workers in colleges, high schools, police forces, firehouses and the like.
