On Saturday, May 7, eleven graduating RWC Nursing students attended the 8th Annual Health Expo, “Mother’s.the Original Caregiver” from the Center for Closing the Health Gap in Greater Cincinnati. RWC students participated in three of the 20 comprehensive health screenings offered to the community: blood pressure screening, renal function testing; and auditory screening. This is the second year that RWC students, staff, and faculty have volunteered in this community outreach. Jennife Pearce, Chair of the Nursing Department, called the experience a great opportunity to meet community needs, practice the nursing skills, and engage the public in conversations about their health and network with other health care professionals.
