CAB Carnival of the Year

This year on May 2nd the Campus Activities Board (CAB) hosted their first carnival from 12:00 to 3:30 p.m. The carnival took place at the University of Cincinnati Blue Ash (UCBA) campus. It consisted of free food, games, music, and of course, fun.

CAB hosted this event to get the students of UCBA excited about events on campus. Everything at the carnival was free. The food was free, the games were free, and the music was very enjoyable for all ages.

One of the games consisted of corn hole and a corn hole tournament. There was a cake walk, which is just like musical chairs, except when your number was called you won a free cupcake or cookie. There was also a fun game of dodgeball which took place in the middle of campus.

There was also free pizza that came from Little Caesar’s, there was walking tacos, and you can’t forget about the popcorn. CAB provided all of the food. CAB’s main goal for this event was to get students involved in one of the few campus activities we have at UCBA.

The entertainment for the carnival was amazing. They had bands that came to play, as well as a violinist who is a freshman at the UC College of Conservatory of Music, (CCM). Many students who are in CAB wore shirts all day that said, “CAB” on the front and “Ask me about today’s event,” on the back. Students involved in this campus event wanted to get many students involved at UCBA as much as possible.

There was a lot of feedback about the carnival. Many students and faculty members are hoping to see another event like this in the future since it was so popular. This is the very first event that CAB has hosted, and it took weeks of preparation to set up for an awesome event. CAB can’t wait until they have another event with many more activities for everyone!
