Students participating in the UCBA Great Britain Study Abroad Program held their second of four mandatory meetings on Saturday, May 5. The event was held in Walters 145 from 10 am – 12 pm.
The purpose of this meeting was to determine the behavioral expectations students will be held to during their time in Great Britain and France.
These rules were established by participants as a group. Doing this gave everyone the opportunity to contribute to the discussion as well as agree to the guidelines put into place.
As students shared their ideas, group leaders Sue Sipple and Eric Anderson displayed determined guidelines on the Smartboard at the front of the room. The group then worked to organize these rules into several categories.
Students were then randomly divided into smaller groups to discuss an assigned category in depth. At the end of the meeting, everyone came back together to share their groups’ ideas.
Only two meetings remain before study abroad students embark on their journey to Great Britain and France. These mandatory gatherings will allow the group to further discuss expectations and continue to get to know each other.
