Pre-Med Meeting Provides Information

UCBA’s Pre-Med Association is pleased with the turnout at its February meeting. Seventeen members (old and new), Ms. Catherine Willoughby, and Dr. Owem participated along with guest speakers from UC College of Medicine, Ayra Zandavakili (a second year doctoral student from Canada) and Jason Nainaparampil (a second year medical student from Cincinnati).
Topics at the February 14 meeting included a presentation about the Med-school application process and another presentation by board members covering MCAT material.
The group also created an MCAT study session for members who were interested in preparing and learning about MCAT. Many people signed up for the group. The meeting was not so much a formal presentation, but rather an opportunity for members to ask the speakers questions.
“We are very pleased that the meeting went very well,” Huong Le, President of the UCBA Pre-Med Association, said. “[Presenters] did a wonderful job. There were many positive feedbacks from members about the content of the presentation, the time management was good, and the guest speakers were very interesting and informative to members.”
