Have you ever heard of raving? UC student Austin Allen has.
Austin moved down to Cincinnati on August 25 from Chicago, Illinois. He is a Business major, but his passion is music. Austin has attended many raves.
He uses the term “gloving” to describe a rave. Gloving means taking a pair of LED lights and placing them in a pair of gloves, then moving your fingers in different motions. It’s just like on the movie “Step Up 2: The Streets,” when the teens were dancing in the streets and the lights went out, and they were doing different things with glow sticks.
Think of that same thing being done with gloves. It’s awesome!
Austin started gloving his senior year after he stopped being in his heavy metal rock band. The first concert he ever attended for it was with a band called “Dad Sick.”
After attending that concert, Austin fell in love even more with the idea of gloving.
Some people express themselves through writing and competing, but Austin expresses himself through his music and his gloving. Bringing positive motions to people makes him happy.
He also promotes and benefits the rave, so if you are interested in participating in any raving or gloving, the website is Emazinglights.com, and the promo code is “getup.” So go check it out. You might see something that you like.
