On Wednesday, October 16, the UCBA Campus Homecoming Celebration will take place from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
“There are a lot of different activities, games and opportunities to win free stuff,” UCBA Committee Chair Priscilla Howard explained. “There’s the UC band, Lucy the Bearcat from the zoo, and this year we’re trying to get cheerleaders from main campus.”
These events lead up to the University of Cincinnati Alumni Association Homecoming events on the UC Uptown Campus on October 18 and 19. This year’s theme is “Once Upon a Homecoming.”
“The [UCBA] committee builds a float to compete against main campus and Clermont,” Howard said, but that’s not the only option students have if they want to participate.
Students can volunteer to help fundraise and even walk in the parade on Saturday October 19. The exact time is to be determined, though it will begin four hours before kickoff of the UC versus UConn football game.
There are currently 18 students signed up to work on the UCBA Homecoming committee. Anyone who is interested in joining the committee can speak to Gwendolyn Dean in the Student Life Office, Room 123 Muntz.
