Record Numbers Use UCBA/Clifton Shuttles

In four days 1500 students used the free shuttle program setting a record high since the program has been in effect, according to UCBA Director of Special Projects Tom Cruse.
There are currently two buses with possible plans for a third one, Cruse said. One bus seats 20 students, while the other seats 54.
The shuttles start at 7:15 a.m. and alternate between UCBA and Clifton. According to Cruse, the drivers remain in contact with each other so that the buses are never in the same place.
The smaller bus stops running at 3 p.m. every day, and the larger bus makes its last stop at 9:30 p.m., except for Friday when the last stop is 5 p.m.
There is a program in the works where students can slide their Bearcat IDs when getting on and off the bus, Cruse said. This will help administrators to see when the buses are needed most.
There are also two numbers that students can call in case of emergency while on the bus. The first number, 513-556-4424, can be called from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. The after hours number is 513-369-9828.
