In twenty-two days, the Victoria Secret fashion show takes the Lon- don catwalk for the first time ever. This marks the 20-year anniversary of the first show in 1995. There will be six themes included in the show this year. Last year’s opening theme of the show was the British invasion, hinting at this year’s London showing.
There are ten more models add- ed this year from the forty of last year, which means there are fifty models walking in the show.
A fun fact about the show is that the models come in at 10 a.m., al- though the show doesn’t start until 4 p.m. This year two fantasy bras, each worth $2 million, will be worn by Adri- anna Lima and Alessandra Ambrosio, who will be in the show together for the first time since 2009.
Each year the performer is a big secret, but after the performance of Taylor Swift last year, everyone thinks that this year there is going to be someone even bigger.
More looks will be featured this year over 2013. Bigger and better is expected. More than 20,000 people are expected to attend this year, thanks to the Earl’s Court Exhibition Center.
Tickets this year are priced at about 10,000 Euros, and the after party tickets are 12,000 Euros. This evening will run you 22,000 Euros or $27,469.20. Whew, that’s a lot of money!
Kendall Jenner is rumored to be walking this year, but isn’t confirmed. It’s usually announced by the model herself, so look out on social net- works. November 22, 2014, at 4 p.m. is the date.
Tune in to the top ten fall fashion trends (says Vogue) for a great look for this winter.
Up for spot number one is dressed up denim. Denim with fridge or flare adds to any outfit if worn right. A pair of loafers or booties are a great addition.
Flare midi skirts are up for number two. Dark colors are the best for fall, but if you are feeling bold, you can buy a pale pink or powder blue skirt and pair it with a graphic tee and heels or sporty sneakers.
Number three is dressing down your “dressy wear.” Pairing a suit jacket with dark denim or trousers with a sweater puts a spin on business wear and allows
you to dress down and have a comfort- able day.
Up for spot number four are sporty sneakers. Pair them with your favorite outfit to dress it down or up. I can’t stay away from this look; it’s one of my favorites.
The last and final trend for the fall that is one of my favorites is keeping neutrals but adding colors. For example, this is wearing gray, black, tans, cream and white, but adding fall colors like burgundy, navy, burnt orange and pale pink.
Overall, these are just trends. They don’t have to be followed but are sugges- tions. “Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication.”—Leonardo da Vinci
