Fall into Style

The Fall season is slowly approaching, but even with the slow pace you’re still anxious to sip hot chocolate, lay in bed and watch Netflix, wear your favorite sweater and to show everyone that bad ass jacket you spent all your money saving for last year. Fall is definitely my favorite season of style because you can never be too “over the top” in my opinion. You can layer up your clothing in fall, but you can also mix and match different prints as you can in spring and summer. And some designers most exclusive pieces are produced around this time of the year.

So, let me give you the scoop on some hot trends as well as designers for the season. Now of course the colors of the fall season are usually earth tones like different shades of brown, green and blue but every year there are different variations. One of the colors that is big this season is reflecting pond, which is like a cool blue with a lot of depth it can be very masculine or feminine depending on how its styled. Another is cadmium orange, which is a very playful orange almost like a soft peach color. This is excellent for those bubbly days when you just want to have fun and would also do well on a hot date. My personal favorite is cashmere rose, which is a soft pink. Finally, marsala is a reddish brown and has a very elegant appeal. It's such a rich color and would look excellent with platinum, gold, or rose gold accessories and dark denim.

As far as prints go, of course plaids are a fall classic and stripes are pretty much welcomed all year round. However, for this year in particular a lot of designers have been using animal prints, but not your traditional, leopard, tiger stripes, or cheetah. The prints are consisting of animal shapes and faces. This is definitely a wild concept, mostly for the people with a daring sense of style.

As for me personally, I've really been into boots. I want a traditional wheat color Timberland boot just to throw on every now and then, as well as a really unique looking Doc Marten as a statement boot. Maybe a black boot with white graffiti spray painted on it. But enough of me blabbering on about my obsession with boots. What's your favorite fall trend, what colors are you into, what looks are you going for? Make sure you stop me in the hallways and tell me!
