Study Skills workshops cover variety of topics

The College Study Skills lab is offering free workshops all quarter long to help students with their study skills. The lab will be holding four different upcoming workshops, including “Brain Waves,” “Problem Solving: Escape from the Doghouse, the Frying Pan and Hot Water,” “Test Taking: Tips, Strategies, and Preparation,” and “Becoming a Human Computer,” from Oct. 30-Nov. 3. All workshops are held in 112K Muntz (in the Computer Concourse).

Each workshop is designed to help students better their college experience through skills that will help them optimize their time and learning.

“Brain Waves” is centered on facts about the brain and teaches students activities that can help to develop more brain power. This workshop will also explain some ways that students can study, by helping the brain learn more efficiently and effectively.
