Hispanic Heritage speaker rescheduled for Oct. 30

RWC’s Multicultural Affairs Office has been hosting an array of events since mid Sept. to celebrate National Hispanic Heritage Month and one of those events was supposed to be a presentation by speaker Dr. Jorge Vasquez on Oct. 11. However, Dr. Vasquez was ill and his presentation had to be rescheduled for Oct. 30, from 12-1 p.m., in SAHB 100. Dr. Vasquez is a first generation Peruvian American. He will address the topic “Access to Healthcare for Hispanics and Provider Awareness.”

According to Helen Kegler, Director of the RWC Multicultural Affairs Office, Dr. Vasquez has served Cincinnati for several years as a dentist working in the Price Hill community, including the growing population of Hispanics.

“He will share information on common concerns among Hispanics about receiving healthcare and tips on serving them effectively as healthcare providers,” Kegler said. “Everyone is invited to attend this informative presentation.
