On Wednesday, April 18, selected guests from our community who have faced challenges as parents will spread their word of success at a gathering to be held at Ray’s Cafe. This Empowerment Luncheon, which will take place from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., is intended to contribute information through open dialogue on the many challenges of parenting, being a student, working, and maintaining a personal life.
Rather than having a keynote speaker, the session will consist of roundtable settings with each table featuring a community parent. This will allow interaction on a personal level.
The Empowerment Luncheon will be by invitation only, on a first come, first-served basis. You can participate if you are an RWC parent, whether you are married, single, divorced, or separated. The meeting is sponsored by the RWC Single Parenting Support Group and the Office of Multicultural Affairs.
