In an effort to help local families offset the high cost of college, Raymond Walters College is currently accepting applications for a variety of scholarships offered through the College. More than 52 scholarships worth over $40,000 is available only to RWC students. While several of the scholarships at RWC are program-specific, many are open to students in any academic program. Awards for full- and part-time students are based on a range of factors, such as academic achievement, community service, financial need and special needs. Also, the amount and requirements for the scholarships vary.
In addition to these named scholarships, RWC has initiated a new “Academic Outreach Scholarship,” which will be awarded to incoming freshman students who are ranked in the top 25 percent of their high school graduating class. This $1,500 scholarship will be awarded automatically to qualifying incoming freshman students in $500 installments each quarter of their first year, as long as students maintain a 3.0 grade-point average.
