RWC Administrative Secretary Lila Kirkbride will be awarded the Distinguished Staff Service Award on April 20. Lila has been with RWC for over thirteen years. “RWC is a great place for students,” she says, and she enjoys her job very much. An RWC graduate herself, Lila started out as a temporary secretary for GE, then worked for Sears for fifteen years. Now Administrative Assistant for the RWC departments of Chemistry, Biology, and Allied Health, she manages the Tech Center in the SAHB, while also taking care of all the mail in the building.
She also ends up assisting anyone that needs her help, including students and faculty or anyone that winds up in a pinch. This is Lila’s second award from the college as she received, along with seven others, a cash bonus for services above and beyond the call of duty. She said she was “humbled” by the entire experience. Congratulations, Lila!
