Dental Hygiene: a future beyond Cocoa Puffs

For some RWC students, dreaming about their future didn’t stop with stewing alone in their pajamas eating a bowl of Cocoa Puffs. In fact, these students realized that their future didn’t involve Cocoa Puffs at all, but instead, a life of getting to the bottom of gingivitis. These students are in RWC’s Dental Hygiene Program, and they are a busy group. Currently, the second year Dental Hygiene students are preparing for the National Dental Hygiene Examination, which they will start taking in March. All of them must pass this exam in order to be licensed to practice dental hygiene.

It seems the second year students have been busy this quarter as they have not only been getting ready for the convention, but they also went to Columbus, Ohio, for a three day board review course. They are also working to complete clinical requirements

necessary to graduate.

With all the hustle and bustle of second year students, those still in their first year are currently in the process of electing class officers.

If you, or a friend, are interested in joining the madness, you must only ask yourself one question, Crest or Aquafresh? The truth is, all ages are welcome to become patients in the RWC Dental Hygiene Clinic. These future dental hygienists need their practice, and they want to help out the community. The cost is very reasonable and appointments can be arranged by calling 513-745-5630.
