Dual Credit program opens RWC doors to high school students

RWC is in its third year of the Dual Credit Program. The program is offered during Spring Quarter to current high school students, who are able to take advantage of the opportunity to enroll in classes here and earn college credits. Dr. Robert Howell, RWC Associate Dean of Academic Affairs, explained that this program puts emphasis on STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) as well as foreign language curricula. Unfortunately, RWC is limited in this program because of state funding obstacles.

Dean Howell, however, spoke very highly of the positive outcome and potential of this program. The Dual Credit Program will give high school students the tools necessary to ease into what we call the college scene. This is a chance to really allow high school students to explore their full potential.

This opportunity is also offered at the Clermont Campus and Miami-Hamilton.
