Many people overlook the students that come to Raymond Walters at night in hopes of continuing their education while working full-time during the day. One student who is a good example of RWC’s significant night school population is Andy Roark.
Andy was born in Monroe, Ohio and is majoring in Business. He chose RWC because of its proximity to his job and also because, “its cheaper than main campus” (a factor that many RWC students can appreciate).
Besides the lighter load to his wallet, Andy also prefers the smaller classes and says that RWC us easier to navigate and has good professors. But if Andrew were made Dean for a day, he would try to improve the parking. His other complaint is that many school events occur during the day and, therefore, are not generally accessible to evening students.
When he isn’t hitting the books, Andy enjoys being with friends, working out, playing basketball, and rock climbing. He also likes music and his favorite bands include David Grey, Black Keys and Duchovny.
The approach of cooler weather doesn’t appeal to Andy and that is why he sees himself living and working in a warmer climate five years in the future, after he completes his degree work, of course.
