Finally, the Media Services Department returns home-well, sort of. The final stage of renovation in Muntz Room 216 is nearing a climax, as the new office spaces have been painstakingly erected and asbestos insulation has been successfully eliminated. This migration marks the second move for the Media caravan in less than a year. The newly completed room will house improved Media faculty offices, a new control room and an off-line digital post-production suite.
Although the faculty offices will be moving, the Media Equipment Support Center will remain at its current location at the end of the West Wing hallway on the first floor next to the Library.
However, the renovation will eventually cause the Support Center to move across the hall, while the new Library is renovated. No specific date on that move has been announced, but the office move is on, set to begin somewhere around mid to late January.
