Clifton Students Boost UCBA Enrollment

UCBA has seen an increase in students this year compared to last year at the start of Winter Quarter.
According to Chris Powers, UCBA Director of Enrollment Services, there are 362 new students enrolled this semester, whereas last year UCBA had 292 new students for Winter Quarter. That’s a 24 percent increase.
This year total Spring Semester headcount enrollment overall on campus, including both UCBA and non-UCBA students, is 6,088, which is only four more students than the 6,084 overall total headcount last year at this time.
While the College is seeing increases in most areas of enrollment, there has been a decrease in UCBA only students. Powers explained that the reasons for this two percent decrease include the facts that students with bad grades and financial aid issues are not returning and students from UC’s Uptown campus and the Clermont campus are taking more classes here.
With many new renovations and additions occurring over the next few months, it is possible that we could see an even bigger increase of students on campus next fall.
