Elizabeth Klein, an RWC student in the Electronic Media Technology program, has been accepted into the California Institute of the Arts, also known as Cal Arts. Klein says she will be experimenting in animation and stop motion in the Cal Arts four-year degree program. Klein found out that she was accepted a week after the deadline and said that the school is very hard to get into.
“This is one of the top animation schools in the country,” she said, “and some very famous people have gone there, such as Tim Burton. I have wanted to go there since I began college. I wasn’t really ready for it before college, and I think that eMedia has helped me with my technical skills to get in.”
Elizabeth is currently working on her RWC associate degree project, which is a stop motion version of “Alice in Wonderland.” She graduates this quarter from the program and will continue her education at Cal Arts this fall.
