With all of the construction going on, our campus is beginning to look a little crowded. However, believe it or not, this year’s enrollment is actually lower than it has been in the past three years, according to the UC Blue Ash census compiled by Byron Walton
This year 5,863 students are enrolled, Walton said, roughly 400 fewer than last year’s enrollment.
About 61 percent of these students are full time. Most of these students are in the age group between 20-24, which is closely followed by the 19 and younger category.
This year UCBA is a little more diverse, according to Walton, with 28 percent of enrolled students from minorities, which include American Indian, Black, Non Hispanic, Hispanic and many others. This statistic is three percent more than it was last year and is also the highest percentage to date.
Things such as location and small class sizes are two things about UCBA that attract all of these students, Walton said. The addition of new classrooms is going to help ensure that class sizes stay low, even if the number of enrolled students goes up in the next few years.
