For this issue we asked students how they feel about the academic restructuring that may be occurring at UC and RWC?

“If tuition doubles and becomes closer or equal to that of main campus, then it will be a bad thing. The fact that RWC may start offering four-year degrees because of this is a good thing, because many students would probably like to complete degrees here instead of having to transfer after two years.”

“I went to main campus for two years. When I transferred here, I lost many of my credits and had to start over as a freshman. So, my first two years were a huge waste of money. Because of situations like this, I think the restructuring will make transfers between RWC and main campus better for students. The idea that students can take classes here and at main campus sounds good, but would probably be hard due to traffic and having to travel back and forth. There is no UC shuttle that travels between RWC and main campus, so many people may not be able to even get there.”

“I’m okay with it because they are trying to implement more four-year degrees, which is a good thing. The one down side I can think of is if having more opportunities will come at a higher price and students will have to pay more in tuition.”

“I think it’s great! I would love to be united with other UC students. I think this will make us a much closer community!
