Andrea Vaught named Honor Student of the Year

Andrea Vaught, a Computer Support Technology major, has been named the 2002 RWC Honor Student of the Year. Every year a list of students who have graduated the previous summer, fall, and winter quarters, and those who will be graduating at the end of the spring quarter with at least a 3.5 GPA.

The student with the highest GPA who has completed at least 80 percent of program credits at RWC while carrying an average of nine credit hours per quarter from each department becomes a candidate. The committee interviews the students and recommendation letters from faculty identified by the students are solicited. One student is selected as the honor student of the year.

Other candidates for this year’s award were Susan Buescher (Pre-Med), Kurt (Eric) Falstrom (Communication Design), Jessica Gray (Radiologic Technology), Molly Lawrence (Pre-Law), Penny McGaughey (Pre-Early Childhood), Leah Neiheisel (Nursing), Nicole Wilhelm (Dental Hygiene), Kimberly Wissemeier (Library Tech).
