Mandalyn Fullmer, an RWC student in Dental Hygiene, has been named RWC’s 2008-2009 Honor Student of the Year. Fullmer was recognized as part of a luncheon honoring all winners of awards for academic excellence at the College this spring. The faculty annually recognize several students for their outstanding academic record, a process described as “extremely difficult” each year. These students are top graduates in their specific disciplines and are students who have graduated the previous summer, fall and winter quarter, or who will be graduating at the end of spring quarter.
They have met the criteria for the award by maintaining at least a 3.6 grade point average, taking an average of nine or more credit hours per quarter, and taking at least 80 percent of their classes at RWC. Also, they have been recommended for the award by at least three faculty members and have been interviewed by the Scholarship and Honors Committee.
