Phi Theta Kappa has been recognized as the official honor society for two-year colleges since 1918. Phi Theta Kappa is one of the largest and most prestigious honor societies for two-year colleges. Upsilon Psi Chapter of Phi Theta Kappa is for Raymond Walters College Phi Theta Kappa members. Upsilon Psi Chapter recently appointed new officers: Andi Vaught as President, Karolina Brkic as Secretary, and Hung Koo as Treasurer. The advisor is Deborah Page (Muntz 321).
Meetings are usually held once a month. Two meetings for members have already been held in March, and the information was distributed via email. If you would like to subscribe to the Upsilon Psi Chapter e-mail list, send an e-mail message to one of the officers by visiting the group’s website www.geocities.com/PTKUpsilonPsi. The next officer meeting will be on April 29. Feel welcome to attend to observe and to learn more about the organization. The Induction Ceremony for new members will be held on May 22 at 4:30 p.m. in Muntz 119. Those interested need to complete the application by May 8, if they would like to join the organization. Anyone who has not received an invitation to join, but fulfills the requirements (a minimum 3.5 GPA with 24 hours completed at RWC) should contact Professor Debbie Page for an application.
