At a recent book signing, Republican Presidential candidate Newt Gingrich got “glittered” by renowned prankster Nick Espinosa.Espinosa yelled “Feel the rainbow, Newt!” as he dowsed him with an entire Cheez-It box full of glitter. He was quickly, and promptly, escorted out, but not before one of the security guards “blessed” him by saying, “Peace be with you. God loves you.” Creepy.
This act of “glittering” has been called a “physical attack” against Gingrich. The glitter physically touched him, but in no way harmed him. This was merely a harmless prank by a gay-rights activist.
Harmless and hysterical. I applaud Espinosa for standing up for what he believes in. He is most famous for dumping two thousand pennies on GOP gubernatorial candidate Tom Emmer and challenging him to a debate on immigration.
I am in no way idolizing Espinosa, but I admire his style.
“Stop the hate. Stop anti-gay politics. It’s dividing our country and it’s not fixing our economy,” – Nick Espinosa
