Lynn Zymbrano has been named the RWC Student of the Quarter for Fall Quarter.Student Government members Brittany Goode, David Schroer, and Leah Whitener formed a subcommittee to determine the best candidate, from nominations by faculty, staff, and students. Student Government received four nominations: Erissa MacKaron, Angelia Monroe, Ben Schaefer, and Lynn Zymbrano.
The criteria required to receive the honor include mentoring other students, balancing family and academic life, being involved with community or volunteer work, and possessing any other outstanding characteristic that may distinguish a student from others.
The committee members said all the nominees were very qualified candidates with their own type of strengths and dedication. The subcommittee made its recommendation to Student Governmen, which unanimously voted to approve the nomination of Zymbrano.
All the nominees will be recognized at the Service Awards Ceremony on May 17. Student Government believes it is just as important to recognize the nominees as well as the Student of the Quarter for their work and dedication at RWC and their influence on the environment around them.
