The Internet: Google Battles Bing

Everyone has a favorite way of getting all the facts and searching the most popular topics happening around the world. In September of 1998, two men from Stanford University, Larry Page and Sergey Brin, launched what is today’s most popular search engine, Google. The name originated from the word “googol,” which is a mathematical term for the numeral one followed by 100 zeros, implying that a search will provide an immense amount of information. Now Google has a close competitor, Bing, which is an up and coming search engine created by Microsoft. Many are not aware of Bing, since it launched only a mere six months ago. The Microsoft generated search engine is similar in many ways to Google, but many think it is very different. There are actual search wars happening every day between the two engines.

But you should take it to the test. Complete your own search experiment to decide next time whether you are going to Google it or Bing it.
