The RWC Department of History, Art History, Philosophy, and Political Science has a new Political Science teacher, Dr. Lynn Rigsbee.”We are very excited to have him here,” said Dr. Andrea Kornbluh, Chair of the department.
As of now Dr. Rigsbee is teaching two classes each of American Government, and American Issues and Problems. Soon he also wants to develop some classes pertaining to the Middle East, his specialty. The exotic Middle East has always been an interest for him, due to its completely different culture and government.
From 1990-2001, Dr. Rigsbee taught in West Virginia, then became a visiting professor for two years at Northern Kentucky University. In Urbana, Ohio, he taught at Urbana University (a small traditional liberal arts college) for one year before coming to Raymond Walters.
When asked what he liked the most so far while teaching here, Dr. Rigsbee said, “I like the small classes and the fact that I can get to know the students’ names.”
Another perk for him to teach at RWC is living here in Cincinnati. He enjoys the many fine foods that originate from this city, such as Skyline Chili and Graters Ice Cream.
Overall, this Scottish folk music lover is happy to have the opportunity to teach here at RWC.
