Letter to the editor: recognizing a good Samaritan

Dear Editor:I would like to recognize a student who was a good samaritan on Tuesday, November 22.

One of the Pathway students was sitting outside on the wall leading to the Muntz parking lot waiting for her job coach to take her to her job. She had been sitting there for 45 minutes crying, talking to herself out loud, and she had no coat on (it was 30 degrees outside). No one stopped to help her, or to ask what was wrong. A female student on her way to class saw her and recognized that she was in need of help. Not knowing what to do, she came and got me to see if I could get her some help. She could have been too busy to help, but she went the extra few steps to be concerned about a fellow human being.

It would be nice to recognize her effort.

Thanks,
