Festival brings young Picassos to RWC

Every year for over a decade, RWC holds an art exhibit showcasing the talents of young people from schools in the surrounding area. It’s called Festival in the Woods. Paintings, photographs, and 3D objects will be exhibited by students from Deer Park, Indian Hill, Loveland Public, Madiera City, Mariemont City, Milford Exempted Village, North College Hill Community, Summit Country Day and Sycamore Community Schools, as well as the Three Rivers School District, Mt. Notre Dame and Reading High Schools, Kinder Garden School and the RWC-YMCA Child Care. Art teachers from these schools will also exhibit some of their work.

The halls of Muntz will be filled with pieces by these young artists beginning with a public preview on Friday February 24 from 7 a.m. -7 p.m.

The Festival in the Woods will continue through March, ending on April 1 in honor of National Youth Art Month. For more information about Festival in the Woods, call 745-5685.
