College Relations moves to new location

The College Relations office has a lot going on this quarter with many events and activities planned. First of all, you should know that they are no longer in the house in front of the College. Due to improvements being made on the building, the office has moved to Muntz Hall, Room 207.

Kelly Lucyszyn, Associate Public Information Officer, is not sure if College Relations will return to the house after renovations are finished.

Mrs. Lucyszyn gave a brief summary of the duties of the College Relations office: “We try to touch all aspects of the community, including current students, potential students, and the general public. The printed pieces you get, like course schedules and program outlines, are all done in our office. We also maintain the College website.”

January 31 is the deadline for students to nominate Alumni, Faculty, and Staff for the Distinguished Alumni, Faculty, and Staff award. You can pick up your applications in either the College Relations office or the One Stop Center.

February 2 is Financial Aid College Goal Day for students and their families to get information on Financial Aid resources. There will be counselors and other experts available to talk to about future plans and student financial issues.

On February 8 at 8 p.m. “The Bi-Okoto Drum and Dance Theatre” will perform. This intense Cincinnati-based drum and dance troupe will be guides on a musical trip into the heart of Africa.

The Fine Arts Fund is Sunday February 16 in the auditorium. It will be free and open to the public to help promote the arts in Cincinnati.

The Winter Book Fair, which will feature Rare and Antique Books, is Saturday, February 22, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. If you would like to reserve booth space, contact Debbie Miller at (513) 936-1573.

February 28 is the kick off of the “Festival In the Woods” celebration of the arts. This celebration of youth art work will feature art work from students K-12 with 35 different schools participating. The art work will be displayed on the walls of RWC for a month.

This should give everyone time to look at all the hard work and talent these youths put into their art.
