It was a day full of singing children in the Muntz Hall Lobby on January 17. The E.H. Green Intermediate School Fifth Grade Choir of over 140 youths came to grace the student body with their young voices of happy songs. The event was organized by Helen Kegler, Director of RWC Multi-Cultural Student Affairs, to help celebrate the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. holiday. The commemoration featured songs such as “Start Everyday with a Song” and “Kumbaya.” Some of the children even performed solos.
They also read poems as a tribute to Dr. King and The Underground Railroad. The event ended with the Choir singing “The E.H. Green School Song” to a great round of applause from the audience.
