There is a new academic club being formed on the UCBA campus that allows students an opportunity to take their knowledge beyond the classroom.
UCBA Psychology Professor Marissa Oehlhof and UCBA Social Work Professor Jennifer Wright-Berryman are the faculty representatives for the new Psychology/Social Work Club.
When asked to elucidate the reason for starting the club, Professor Wright-Berryman explained, “The basic agenda of this group is to bridge academia and real world experience” through creative ways of engaging students and the community.
Anyone interested in social justice should check out this club and the opportunity it presents. The club will be about community based human services projects, as well as ways to show students how to become better citizens of their communities.
The next meeting will be on December 13 in Muntz 351. The time will be announced later. Questions should be addressed to Professor Wright-Berryman at wrigh2jb@ucmail.uc.edu.
