Have you ever thought about what living on a beach would be like? You would always have nice weather, you could surf, and you could even go deep sea fishing.
UC student Denzel Roberson grew up in Virginia Beach. He was born in Cincinnati but moved to Norfolk at the age of three. His father was in the Navy, stationed in Norfolk, Virginia, making Denzel a “military brat.”
“Living in Virginia was fun,” Roberson said. “There are so many different things to do there.” In Virginia you can go fly fishing, which is an angling method in which artificial flies are used to catch fish.
Virginia also has two of the biggest amusement parks, King’s Dominion and Bush Gardens. The weather there is gorgeous, Roberson said. The weather in Cincinnati can be nice in the summer but could you imagine fall feeling like spring and less cold winters?
Even the houses in Virginia Beach are a sight to see, Roberson said. The houses on the beach are built on stilts in case there is ever a flood.
Hmm… living near a beach would be nice.
Denzel Roberson is one lucky person to have lived in one of the best vacation spots as a permanent resident. My family and I vacation there often, so I am looking forward to next summer so I can experience some of the awesome things Denzel got to live by and with.
