If you would like to enhance your structural composition during Winter Quarter, then you should look into the course Mastering Sentence Skills.
Problems relating to sentence structure, grammar, and punctuation in English Composition are addressed in this optional course.
If you want to understand how an English sentence works and why it works that way, perhaps taking this elective would be best for you. Students who want to write effective sentences, but do not fit the Development English Course, and are not ready for the fast pace and advanced rules of Business English can master these requirements with Professor Barbara Hansen, who will teach the Mastering Sentence Skills course.
Her course is a three-credit hour English elective offered at 10 a.m. MWF in Room 156 during Winter Quarter.
After completing the class, you will be able to write and proofread a correct sentence, have an understanding of the rules which govern standard formal sentence structure, grammar, and punctuation and know exactly why these rules exist.
