letter To Dean

In a past issue of the activist, I posted an article about our Dean, Doleres Straker and her inspirational approach through her battle with Breast Cancer. I achknowledged her approachable persona and how even in her busy work enviorment, still had time to sit down and talk me. To much surprise, a week later I was emailed by my editor with an attached letter. It was from our very own Dean Straker. I was floored. I was so thankful before when she took time out to talk to me about her walk through this hard time, you can amazine how I felt when I read her thank you letter. Any other Dean would just go on with her every day meetings, and plans for our new school year. But this one took the time out of her day to make mine. I wrote this letter to make our faculty and students aware of just how lucky we are to have her. And to continue to pray for Dean Strakers recovery. And last, I would like to personally thank Dean Straker for all of her thoughtful words. The letter made my entire year.
