RWC’s Website to be updated

Recently the University of Raymond Walters has made many changes to the university’s website. The first change is the homepage, which Michael Ziepfel and Mandy Thoman have vastly changed the outlook and feel of the new homepage. The new homepage will also incorporate departmental home and secondary pages. There are also new Navigation menus which were created based information from research, different student surveys and feedback from academic and administration departments. The revamping of the school’s new website has not been an isolated collaboration. Many departments have voiced their feelings to get a better feel for their specific needs. In addition, the University of Raymond Walter’s Networking department and UC’s Governmental Relations have tried to compare options for a new content management system. This will obviously make it much easier for the information posted on the website easier for all department conacts to update. Also College Relations have been working with UC’s Purchasing to help prepare a request for proposal (RFP) for the content management system. As of right now many RFP bids are ready to be sent out in hope to have the right submissions in hand withint 3-5 weeks, which falls under the typical bidding procedures. After a the University has selected a vendor, the page templates will be finalized. The target time for the website to make the transition is the beginning of spring term and more revisions well into building over the summer.
