RETIREMENT POEM OF A WORKER-PRIEST

I’ve fought a good fight, with all of my might.
I’ve finished my course, with Him as my source.
I have kept the faith pure, when trials endure,
Where might is not all right, as right is my might.I’ve finished my course with Him as my source
Of power on high, as dark death draws nigh,
I’ll pray with His Spirit as my Paraclete;
I’ll sing with my spirit of love infinite.

I’ve kept the faith pure, with hope to endure,
Right through to the end, His Spirit He’ll send
To fill me to o’er flow with gifts
And bestow a crown on His righteous with fruits bounteous.

I’ve fought a good fight, I’ve finished my course,
I have kept the faith, immersed in concourse
Of rivers of water which flows from within
And from Abba, Father, a crown of life win.
