The UCBA Student Life Office has announced that Yvette Simpson will be this year’s guest speaker/reader for 24th Annual National African-American Read-In.
Simpson is currently serving her first term on the Cincinnati City Council, where she holds various leadership and chair positions on numerous committees that serve our community. Simpson is also a UC Law School grad, and aside from being a member of the Bearcat family, she has a special passion that includes creating meaningful experiences for local youth.
Students, faculty, and staff are also encouraged to come share a poem or a section of a book (both of your choice). The Read-In is being held this Monday, February 25, from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. in the Muntz lobby.
