The RWC Lost and Found is located in the Security Office, Muntz Hall Room 134, and personnel are obligated to hold items for 30 days. However, Officer Barbara Henson states that the Office does keep items for the entire quarter plus an additional 30 days to ensure all attempts have been made to locate the owners. To help aid the return of lost property, Officer Henson recommends that students mark items with their name. This also prevents stolen items from being sold, such as textbooks to the Bookstore, and it can also help in an arrest and prosecution.
Officer Henson also warns of leaving purses and belongings unattended. This not only leads to theft on campus but also to future problems of identity theft.
