Beginning this quarter the RWC Allied Health Department is able to offer a bachelor’s degree in Radiation Science Technology. It is the first technical program of its type and a historical event for the Department, according to Department Chair, Professor Tracy Herrmann. The approval process was long and involved, Herrmann said, adding that much of the credit should go to previous Dean Bardes and current Dean Straker for “facilitating the approval process and for their continued support.”
Associate Dean Don Omeara offered his thanks to both faculty and staff for “their commitment of time and effort and for making this achievement possible.”
Students interested in the Radiation Science Technology degree must first pursue the Radiation Technology or Radiation Therapy Associate degrees before entering the Bachelors program.
