The RWC Art and Visual Communication Department has recently received accreditation from the National Association of Schools of Art and Design (NASAD). According to NASAD accreditation is a stamp of approval, a sign that an institution ascribes to, believes in, and has met an external set of basic criteria for the programs it offers. It indicates that threshold standards are adhered to in a fashion that provides a base of academic strength and operational integrity.
RWC Department Chair Professor Susan Wheeler said, “The department is delighted that all their hard work developing programs and their concern for educating students to be productive art professionals has been nationally recognized. The faculty should be commended for their commitment to students and their adherence to the current professional standards of the field. I am very pleased to work with such dedicated professionals.
