Rating: @@@@ (4 out of 4)If you’d like to add a little libertarian spice to your politics, check out cato.org. It’s the home page of the Cato Institute, a libertarian think tank that, according to its home page, is dedicated to individual liberty, limited government, free markets, and peace.
Like the sound of that? Check it out on Cato’s easy to use site that includes literally thousands of studies, position papers, white papers, policy recommendations, and video and audio files on every topic from tobacco settlements to U.S. policy toward Cuba.
The Cato Institute’s policies aren’t for the faint of heart. Among their policy recommendations are calls to eliminate the Department of Education and Department of Energy and to withdraw all U.S. troops from Japan, Korea, Europe and South East Asia.
Cato’s site is as strong as its politics with bright, high contrast colors, clear headings, logical navigation and even a super macho graphic of Thomas Jefferson.
